I recently had the pleasure of working on a cover story for Nashville Interiors Magazine featuring the incredible team at Huskey Building Supply.

The project was an all-day shoot centered around their brand-new on-site showroom, while also highlighting the people who make the company what it is. Family-owned and operated since 1945, Huskey Building Supply has been serving Middle Tennessee with quality building materials and a reputation built on relationships, craftsmanship, and trust.

Walking into the new showroom was genuinely stunning. The space is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed — making it easy to identify strong hero moments throughout. Every corner offered intentional design details, layered textures, and beautifully curated displays that photographed effortlessly.

What stood out most, though, was how versatile the space is. There were so many distinct areas to work within, which allowed us to showcase different team members in environments that felt natural and connected to their roles. The layout made storytelling seamless — each setting helped highlight not just the products, but the people behind the brand.

Being able to capture both the physical transformation of this new addition and the heart of the team behind it made this shoot especially meaningful. It was a true collaboration, and an inspiring example of how legacy businesses can evolve while staying rooted in their values.
